Software Developer C# WPF (m/f) for mathematical optimization algorithms in the energy industry

Your tasks

  • Analysis of the requirements of our international clients to the mathematical models and their implementation in our software systems
  • Conception, realization and development of software for portfolio optimization (Front end, Business logic, Database)
  • Contribution to customer satisfaction through technical support to our customers
  • Willingness for travelling and working on site at customers' premises

Your skills

  • University degree in informatics, mathematics, physics, engineering or related subjects
  • First experience as software developer (m/f)
  • In-depth knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: C#, WPF, .NET framework, C++, MATLAB
  • Solid knowledge in database design
  • Solid knowledge of object oriented Software design and programming
  • Ideally knowledge of frameworks such as Hibernate or other ORM Frameworks, Spring, ...
  • Solid knowledge in the use of relational databases (Oracle and/or MS SQL server databases)
  • Ideally, basic knowledge in operations research and mathematical optimization (experience with IBM CPLEX and/or Gurobi)
  • Ideally, basic knowledge of financial mathematics/statistics
  • Ideally, initial professional experience in the energy industry
  • Very good communication skills, poise
  • Very good knowledge of English, spoken and written
  • Structured, results-oriented way of working
  • Ability to think and act clearly under pressure
  • High degree of initiative
